+Engineered protection against damaging power events.
Professional AV systems rely on digital components that are vulnerable to both catastrophic surges and subtle performance degradation from electrical noise. LynTec surge protectors are engineered for these demanding environments, providing robust protection against voltage spikes and filtering interference across all three power lines: hot, neutral, and ground.
This comprehensive approach ensures connected equipment receives clean, stable power, preserving audio clarity and video integrity. Housed in durable, rack-ready chassis, our units include essential features like over-voltage shutdown and clear status indicators, giving integrators confidence in the power foundation of their systems.
Engineered for complete system protection.
Three-path protection for hot, neutral, and ground lines.
Advanced filtration with low let-through voltage.
Built for the demands of professional installations.
Your questions, answered.
Yes. Our surge protectors are engineered for the demands of both environments. They are housed in a rugged, single-piece steel Tour Class chassis designed to withstand the rigors of transport and repeated setup.
For permanent installations, the same durable construction and high-grade components ensure long-term reliability and consistent performance, providing confidence that the power foundation of your system is secure.
LynTec surge protectors are specialized devices focused exclusively on power protection and filtration. They do not include built-in power sequencing functions.
For applications that require a controlled power-up or power-down order to prevent speaker pops or equipment damage, these protectors should be paired with a dedicated LynTec power sequencer. This modular approach allows you to build a robust, integrated power infrastructure with best-in-class protection and control.
Proper power infrastructure is critical for system safety and performance. LynTec surge protectors feature a front-panel LED indicator that alerts you to common and dangerous wiring faults at the source outlet.
This diagnostic tool can immediately identify issues like a missing ground connection or reversed polarity. It allows an integrator to confirm the integrity of the site power before connecting and energizing thousands of dollars worth of equipment, preventing potential damage and troubleshooting headaches.
A momentary surge is different from a sustained over-voltage condition, which can be caused by faulty building wiring or utility issues. This prolonged high voltage can severely damage electronic equipment.
Our surge protectors include an automatic over-voltage shutdown circuit. If the unit detects a sustained voltage above a safe operating threshold, it will disconnect power to all outlets, safeguarding your entire rack of equipment from thermal damage or catastrophic failure.
Let-through voltage is the amount of residual surge energy that passes through the protector to your connected devices during a power spike. A lower rating indicates better protection for sensitive electronics.
Our surge protectors are engineered for a very low let-through voltage, typically a maximum of 10 volts on the line-to-neutral path and just 0.5 volts on the ground. This provides a superior level of defense for delicate digital circuits found in modern AV and lighting systems.
Many basic surge protectors only address the hot line, leaving neutral and ground paths vulnerable. For sensitive AV equipment, electrical noise or surge energy on the ground line can directly contaminate audio and video signals, causing hum, visual artifacts, and component damage.
LynTec surge protectors use a hybrid filter to defend all three pathways. This comprehensive approach ensures that connected equipment is fully isolated from power disturbances, preserving signal integrity and system reliability.
