    ABOUT STANDALONE ECOSYSTEMS

Complete power control, simplified for any space.

Deploy robust power sequencing and protection with self-contained systems that are easy to install, configure, and operate right out of the box.

LynTec standalone ecosystems provide a complete power control solution in a single, easy-to-deploy package. Designed for environments like conference rooms, classrooms, small theaters, or portable racks, these systems offer intelligent sequencing and circuit protection without requiring a connection to a larger building management or AV control system.

Each unit includes its own control interface, typically a web server, allowing for simple setup and operation from any connected device. This makes them the ideal choice for retrofits or installations where simplicity, reliability, and speed are the primary requirements.

    WHY IT MATTERS

    Engineered for independent operation.

    01

Simplified setup with no external controller required.

Configure and manage power sequencing directly through a built-in web server. There is no need for custom programming or integration with a third-party control system, which significantly reduces installation time and complexity.
    02

Flexible control options for any application.

Beyond the web interface, systems can be triggered via contact closure, DMX, or IP commands. This provides operational flexibility for users of all technical levels, from a simple wall switch to a connected presentation system.
    03

Professional-grade protection in a compact form.

Get the same trusted circuit protection and reliable sequencing found in our large-scale panelboards. Every standalone unit is engineered to safeguard sensitive AV equipment from electrical events, ensuring system longevity and uptime.
    FAQ

    Your questions, answered.

Common questions about our standalone power solutions.
Can multiple SQ units be linked together for larger systems?

No, the SQ Series is engineered as a standalone sequencer for single-rack systems. Each unit operates independently and is not designed to be linked or cascaded with other SQ units.

This purposeful design keeps installation simple and reliable for its intended application. For systems requiring control over multiple racks or more than three sequenced steps, we recommend our modular RPC or PDS power control systems.

Can standalone units integrate with third-party control systems?

Yes. While designed for independent operation, our standalone solutions can easily integrate into larger systems. They can be triggered by IP commands from control systems like Crestron, AMX, and Q-SYS, or via traditional contact closure. This allows you to provide simple, reliable power control that can be managed by a master automation platform.

Does the XPC system require a main LynTec panel to operate?

No, the XPC system can be deployed as a completely standalone solution. The XPC Standalone Controller manages its own network of remote relay modules (XRM, XRL, XRS), providing a self-contained power control and sequencing system. This makes it an excellent choice for new installations or isolated areas that are not tied to a central LynTec panel infrastructure.

How are standalone units controlled without a central AV system?

Each standalone unit has a built-in web server for initial setup, sequencing configuration, and direct control. For daily operation, they can be triggered by a simple contact closure from a wall switch or sensor. Many units also accept commands via IP or DMX, providing flexible control options for any environment.

How is the power-up and power-down sequence configured?

Sequencing is configured through the unit’s onboard web interface. You can easily set the order for each circuit to power on and off, as well as the delay time between each step. This ensures that components like amplifiers are powered on last and off first, preventing dangerous speaker pops and protecting sensitive downstream equipment.

What is the setup process for a standalone power control unit?

Setup is straightforward and does not require custom programming. Simply connect the unit to a network to access its built-in web server from any browser. The web interface provides clear access to all settings, including circuit naming, sequencing order, delay times, and control options. This greatly reduces installation and commissioning time.

What kind of electrical protection do standalone units provide?

Our standalone units provide the same professional-grade circuit protection and reliable sequencing found in our larger panelboard systems. They are engineered to safeguard sensitive audio, video, and lighting equipment from electrical events and improper startup or shutdown. This ensures system longevity and protects your client’s investment.

When should I specify a manual controller instead of a networked one?

Manual controllers are ideal for applications where simplicity and physical security are the primary goals. Choose a manual controller for standalone systems, small zones that do not require automation, or when a hardwired lockout is needed for safety and maintenance. They eliminate network dependencies, providing robust, straightforward on/off control that anyone can operate.

When should I specify a standalone solution instead of a full panel?

Standalone ecosystems are ideal for smaller, isolated systems or retrofits where simplicity and speed are critical. They are perfect for conference rooms, classrooms, huddle spaces, small theaters, and portable AV racks that require robust sequencing and protection without the complexity of integrating with a larger building-wide control system.

When should I use an SQ instead of a networked power controller?

The SQ Series is the ideal choice for simple, standalone applications where you need reliable 3-step sequencing for a single equipment rack. It is perfect for conference room credenzas, lecterns, or small front-of-house racks that do not require network access.

If your project requires network control, remote monitoring, scheduling, or sequencing for multiple racks or zones, you should specify a networked solution from our RPC, RPCR, or PDS series panels. These provide a more robust, scalable infrastructure for larger systems.
