    ABOUT SWITCHES

Simple, secure control for your power system.

Provide staff and operators with intuitive, physical control points for activating and deactivating power sequencing without needing a computer.

LynTec switches offer a straightforward and dependable way to manage your power control system. Available in single-gang wall plates or 1U rack panels, these interfaces provide simple on/off and sequencing control via push-buttons or secure key switches. They are engineered for daily use in performance venues, houses of worship, and corporate environments.

Designed to integrate directly with LynTec sequencing panels and controllers, our switches ensure that system operation is accessible and secure. Select models include network connectivity for integration into larger control ecosystems, providing a physical user interface that complements remote management capabilities.

    WHY IT MATTERS

    Engineered for system integration.

    01

    Flexible mounting for any application.

Install control where you need it. Our switches are available in standard single-gang wall plates for front-of-house access and 1U rack panels for back-of-house control racks.
    02

    Secure, key-locked operation.

Prevent unauthorized system changes with key-switch models like the KS-2L and locking plate sets like the SS-2PL. Ensure only authorized personnel can initiate power sequences.
    03

    Designed for the LynTec ecosystem.

These are not generic parts. Each switch is designed for direct, reliable integration with LynTec power sequencing panels and controllers, including network-enabled options for advanced systems.
    FAQ

    Your questions, answered.

Common questions about our control switches.
Can I install these switches in a standard wall box or equipment rack?

Yes. Our switches are engineered for flexible installation in common professional environments. We offer models in a standard single-gang wall plate format, which fits any NEMA-style wall box for convenient placement in rooms, lecterns, or front-of-house positions.

For back-of-house applications, we also provide switches mounted in 1U rack panels. These are designed for seamless integration into standard 19-inch equipment racks, keeping system controls consolidated with other rack-mounted gear.

Do these switches work with third-party control systems like Crestron or Q-SYS?

LynTec switches provide a physical user interface for a LynTec power control panel. The integration with a third-party system like Crestron, AMX, or Q-SYS happens at the panel level, not at the switch itself.

You can use a LynTec switch for local manual control while simultaneously managing the same power panel over the network via Telnet, sACN, DMX, or other protocols supported by our controllers. The switch becomes one part of a complete, integrated control infrastructure.

How do LynTec switches connect to the main sequencing panel?

Our switches are designed for simple, reliable integration. They connect to dedicated low-voltage inputs on LynTec power control panels like the RPC, RPCR, and NPAC series. This direct connection uses standard low-voltage wiring, making installation straightforward for any qualified installer.

This design ensures the switch acts as a dependable local interface for the panel’s intelligent sequencing and control logic, providing a physical trigger for pre-programmed power up or power down sequences.

What options exist for securing a switch against unauthorized use?

To ensure only authorized personnel can operate the power system, we offer several security options. Key-switch models, such as the KS-2L, require a physical key to activate or deactivate a power sequence. This is ideal for public-facing areas or venues where access must be restricted.

Additionally, we provide locking plate covers like the SS-2PL. These secure covers fit over our standard push-button switches, providing a simple and effective way to prevent accidental or unauthorized operation.

Which LynTec panels are compatible with these switches?

Our switches are specifically engineered as part of the LynTec power control ecosystem. They are fully compatible with our most common sequencing controllers and panels, including the RPC Remote Control Breaker Panels, RPCR Automated Relay Panels, and NPAC Networkable Power Automation and Control panels.

They are not designed as generic, standalone contact closure devices and should be used with a compatible LynTec controller to ensure proper system function and reliability.
