+Advanced protection against surges and line noise.
RX series products utilize a patented Hybrid Filter Technology to provide comprehensive protection on all three power lines: hot, neutral, and ground. This system filters both normal mode (line to neutral) and common mode (ground line) interference, a critical factor for the stability of digital processing equipment. It reduces surges up to 6,000 volts down to a maximum of 10 volts between line and neutral, and just 0.5 volts on the ground line.
Beyond surge protection, the RX series includes intelligent safeguards against infrastructure issues. Onboard relays prevent operation if the unit is connected to improperly wired outlets or if incoming voltage exceeds 150V, protecting your equipment from external faults.
Engineered for mission-critical protection.

Your questions, answered.
Yes, the RX series is an ideal companion to a power sequencer. RX products are designed for dedicated power conditioning and protection, not sequencing. For best results, you can install an RX unit to provide clean, protected power to an entire rack, which can then be distributed and sequenced by a separate device like a LynTec RPC or PDS panel.
This modular approach allows you to specify best-in-class protection and sequencing independently, creating a robust and reliable power infrastructure for your entire system.
RX series conditioners feature a front-panel LED indicator that alerts technicians to dangerous external wiring conditions. If the unit detects an issue such as a missing ground connection or reversed hot and neutral wires at the outlet, the indicator will illuminate.
In these fault conditions, the unit will not pass power to its outlets, protecting connected equipment from potential damage. This provides a clear, immediate diagnostic tool during system installation and commissioning.
Standard surge protectors primarily address high-energy events on the hot and neutral lines. The RX series provides a more comprehensive solution with its patented Hybrid Filter Technology, which protects all three power lines: hot, neutral, and ground.
This system filters both high-energy surges and low-level line noise in both normal mode (line-to-neutral) and common mode (ground line). Cleaning the ground path is critical for protecting sensitive digital processors and preventing performance issues that other conditioners can miss.
The RX Series option provides a significant upgrade in equipment protection. It features a hybrid filter circuit that is much more effective than standard MOV-based protection. It limits potentially damaging ground line surges to a maximum of 0.50 volts, safeguarding sensitive digital components.
In addition to surge protection, the RX circuit also includes a bi-directional filter that reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). This helps ensure cleaner power for improved audio and video performance.
Standard surge protectors often only guard the hot and neutral lines. Our products, like the RX series, use a hybrid filter to protect all three paths: hot, neutral, and ground. This comprehensive approach prevents ground contamination, a common source of audio hum and video noise that can degrade system performance even without a major surge event.
The RX series is engineered to defend against multiple power-related threats. It protects equipment from high-energy transient voltage surges, reducing a 6,000-volt event to a maximum of 10 volts let-through. It also filters out low-level AC line noise that can disrupt digital performance.
Additionally, RX units include intelligent protection against facility wiring faults. They automatically shut down if they detect a sustained over-voltage condition (above 150V) or incorrect wiring for hot, neutral, or ground, preventing damage from infrastructure problems.
Many basic surge protectors only clamp surges between the hot and neutral lines. However, the ground line is a common path for high-frequency noise that can introduce audible hum, video artifacts, and data errors in sensitive AV equipment. Our RX series conditioners use Hybrid Filter Technology to provide robust protection and filtration on all three power lines (hot, neutral, and ground), ensuring a cleaner power foundation and more reliable system performance.
In modern digital AV systems, the ground line is used as a voltage reference for low-voltage logic circuits. Contamination or noise on the ground path, known as common mode interference, can disrupt data transmission, cause audio hum, and lead to intermittent system lockups or premature component failure.
The RX series Hybrid Filter Technology is specifically designed to filter the ground line, allowing a maximum of only 0.5 volts of let-through during a major surge. This ensures a clean reference for sensitive electronics, leading to more stable and reliable system operation.
