    ABOUT THE RPCR SERIES

Scalable relay control for distributed circuits.

The RPCR series provides robust, high-density relay panels for remotely controlling numerous 30A circuits from a single, centralized enclosure.

Engineered for installations requiring reliable control over a high number of distributed circuits, RPCR panels offer a simple and scalable infrastructure. Available in configurations from 8 to 64 single-pole, 30A relays, these panels centralize power switching for lighting zones, speaker clusters, and other AV equipment.

Each panel can be customized with 2-pole relays for 277V applications and optional brownout protection to safeguard connected equipment from unstable voltage. As part of the RPC ecosystem, RPCR panels integrate seamlessly with LynTec controllers for system-wide sequencing and management.

    WHY IT MATTERS

    Engineered for high-density control.

    01

Modular design scales from 8 to 64 circuits.

Specify the exact circuit count needed for any venue, from a small conference room to a large auditorium. This modular approach allows your power control infrastructure to grow with your system needs without over-provisioning.
    02

High-amperage relays with optional brownout protection.

Standard 30A single-pole relays handle demanding professional loads. Add optional brownout protection to automatically disconnect circuits during unsafe voltage sags, protecting sensitive downstream equipment from damage.
    03

Flexible configuration for specific load requirements.

Customize your panel with optional 2-pole relays for controlling 277V lighting or other two-phase loads. This built-in flexibility simplifies electrical design and reduces the need for external contactors.
    FAQ

    Your questions, answered.

Common questions about the RPCR relay panel series.
Can an RPCR panel operate as a standalone controller?

No, the RPCR is an expansion panel and requires a separate LynTec master controller to function. It is engineered to integrate into a larger system managed by an RPC Series panel, an NPAC, or another primary LynTec control device. This system architecture simplifies installation and provides centralized, sequenced management for all connected circuits.

How do I control an RPCR panel?

RPCR panels are designed as part of a larger LynTec control ecosystem. They function as relay satellites and are controlled by a master controller, such as an RPC panel or an NPAC. The master unit provides the sequencing logic, scheduling, and user interface (web server, DMX, sACN, etc.), sending simple commands to the RPCR to actuate its relays as part of a system-wide sequence.

How does the optional brownout protection work?

When specified, the brownout protection feature constantly monitors incoming voltage. If the voltage drops below a safe operating level (for example, under 90V for a 120V circuit), the controller automatically opens the relays to disconnect the downstream equipment. This protects sensitive electronics from damage caused by under-voltage conditions. The system will keep the circuits off until stable power is restored.

How many circuits can a single RPCR panel control?

RPCR panels are highly modular. A single enclosure can be configured with relay cards in groups of 8, scaling from a minimum of 8 relays up to a maximum of 64 relays. This flexibility allows you to manage power for a small zone or an entire wing of a facility from one centralized panel, matching the panel to your exact project requirements.

What are the optional 2-pole relays used for?

The optional 2-pole, 30A relays are specified for controlling 208V or 277V loads, which are common in commercial lighting systems. Using factory-installed 2-pole relays within the RPCR panel simplifies the electrical design and installation by eliminating the need for external 2-pole contactors, keeping all switching control within the LynTec infrastructure.

When should I specify an LCRP instead of an RPC or RPCR panel?

Choose the LCRP when your primary requirement is direct DMX-based on/off control for a small to medium number of high-amperage lighting circuits. It is a streamlined and cost-effective solution for DMX-native environments.

Specify an RPC or RPCR panel when you need more advanced features like network control (sACN, TCP/IP), remote monitoring, power sequencing, or integration with AV control systems.

When should I use an RPCR instead of an RPC panel?

Specify an RPCR panel when you need to add high-density, high-amperage (30A) relay-only control to a system that is already managed by a master controller like an RPC or NPAC. The RPCR is a cost-effective way to expand circuit switching for non-dimmed lighting, amplifiers, or video walls without the cost of another full-featured breaker panel. An RPC panel is the primary choice when you need both circuit breaker protection and relay control in the same enclosure.

Which LynTec panels are compatible with these switches?

Our switches are specifically engineered as part of the LynTec power control ecosystem. They are fully compatible with our most common sequencing controllers and panels, including the RPC Remote Control Breaker Panels, RPCR Automated Relay Panels, and NPAC Networkable Power Automation and Control panels.

They are not designed as generic, standalone contact closure devices and should be used with a compatible LynTec controller to ensure proper system function and reliability.

Which LynTec panels can I control using these DMX accessories?

These accessories are designed to provide a DMX-512 control input for any LynTec panel equipped with a DMX card or native DMX port. This includes our most common motorized circuit breaker and relay panels, such as the RPC, RPCR, and LCP series. Using our wall plates and connectors ensures a clean and reliable termination point for the control signal run to the panel.
