+Reliable battery backup for tight spaces.
Juice Goose SL Series Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) solve a common integration challenge: providing reliable battery backup in spaces too small for conventional units. By using lightweight, long-life lithium-ion and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, SL Series products achieve an ultra-slim profile ideal for mounting behind displays, inside kiosks, or above projectors.
The series includes both flat-pack models for surface mounting and a 1RU rackmount version for high-density equipment racks. Every SL Series UPS provides integrated surge protection and stable power, ensuring sensitive AV components can shut down safely during an outage and are protected from harmful power events.
Power protection engineered for the install.
Ultra-slim profile for installation flexibility.
Advanced lithium battery for lighter weight and longer life.
Reliable protection for sensitive AV and control systems.
Your questions, answered.
Remote monitoring is available on select models. The SLi-1000 1RU rackmount UPS can be equipped with an optional network interface card. This allows for remote management and status updates over an IP network, providing greater visibility into power conditions for critical rack-mounted systems. The compact, flat-pack models like the SL 350 and SLi-600 are designed for standalone operation and do not include network monitoring capabilities.
Selection should be based on the total power draw (in watts) of the equipment you need to protect. Start by calculating the combined load of all connected devices. The SL 350 (200W) is ideal for single, low-power devices like a media player or small control processor. The SLi-600 offers more capacity for systems with multiple components. For rack-mounted equipment, the SLi-1000 provides 1000VA of power in a compact 1RU form factor. Always check the power specifications of your equipment to ensure the UPS capacity is sufficient.
SL Series UPS units use modern lithium-ion or lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which offer significant advantages over traditional lead-acid types. They provide a much longer service life, reducing long-term maintenance and replacement costs. Lithium batteries are also considerably lighter, making installation easier and safer, especially when mounting a unit like the SL 350 behind a display. They also typically feature faster recharge times.
All SL Series UPS units provide two critical levels of protection. First, they offer battery backup to allow sensitive equipment to shut down safely during a power outage. Second, they include integrated, UL 1778 certified surge protection to safeguard connected components from damaging power surges and spikes. The rackmount SLi-1000 model adds Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), which corrects for brownouts and over-voltage conditions without switching to battery power, ensuring clean and stable power delivery.
The choice depends entirely on the installation environment. The flat-pack SL 350 and SLi-600 are specifically designed for decentralized, point-of-use applications where equipment is not located in a rack, such as behind a display or in a kiosk. The SLi-1000 is the ideal solution for centralized equipment in a standard 19-inch rack. Its 1RU design saves valuable rack space while providing higher capacity and optional network monitoring for critical AV and IT hardware.
The slim-profile models like the SL 350 and SLi-600 are engineered for space-constrained AV installations. With a chassis as thin as 1.25 inches, they can be mounted directly behind flat-panel displays, inside digital signage enclosures or kiosks, and above ceiling-mounted projectors. Their lightweight design and surface-mountable chassis simplify adding reliable battery backup and surge protection in locations where a traditional UPS would not fit.
