    ABOUT THE TC SERIES

Redundant fuse protection, built for telecom.

The TC Series brings GMT-style fuse and alarm protection to telecommunications and DC power distribution, built on two proven platforms — the TC-1 and the TC-5.

The TC-1 is the lower-priced platform, packing two 30-amp redundant circuits and remote alarm activation into a 5-inch-deep aluminum chassis. Its superior ‘uni-body’ design forms the front, bottom, and back from a single piece of aluminum for added rigidity and durability.

The TC-5 is the full-featured platform, with redundant 50-amp circuits plus power and bay alarm summing circuits. It is housed in a 10.5-inch-deep steel chassis with dual stud lug power inputs to handle higher-current DC feeds.

    WHY IT MATTERS

    Engineered for uninterrupted DC power.

    01

    Redundant circuit protection.

Dual redundant fused circuits — 30 amps on the TC-1 and 50 amps on the TC-5 — keep critical DC loads online if a single circuit faults, the standard for telecom and mission-critical power.
    02

    Integrated remote alarm monitoring.

The TC-1 provides remote alarm activation, while the TC-5 adds power and bay alarm summing circuits — so technicians and NOC staff are notified of a blown fuse or fault condition the moment it happens.
    03

    Rugged, purpose-built chassis.

The TC-1 uses a single-piece ‘uni-body’ aluminum chassis for rigidity, and the TC-5 steps up to a steel chassis with dual stud lug power inputs — both built to live in a rack or relay frame for years of dependable service.
    FAQ

    Your questions, answered.

Common questions about the TC Series fuse and alarm panels.
How does alarm monitoring work on the TC Series?

The TC-1 provides remote alarm activation so a fault can trigger a signal back to your monitoring system. The TC-5 adds power and bay alarm summing circuits, consolidating multiple alarm conditions so technicians or a network operations center are alerted to a blown fuse or power problem without having to inspect each circuit individually.

What is the difference between the TC-1 and the TC-5?

Both are GMT-style fuse and alarm panels, but they target different needs. The TC-1 is the lower-priced platform with two 30-amp redundant circuits and remote alarm activation in a compact 5-inch-deep aluminum chassis. The TC-5 is the full-featured platform with redundant 50-amp circuits, power and bay alarm summing, and a 10.5-inch-deep steel chassis with dual stud lug power inputs for higher-current feeds.

What kind of power inputs does the TC-5 support?

The TC-5 is housed in a 10.5-inch-deep steel chassis fitted with dual stud lug power inputs, allowing it to accept the heavier DC feeds typical of telecom and critical power installations while supporting its redundant 50-amp circuits.

What type of fuses does the TC Series use?

The TC Series is built around GMT-style fuse modules, the indicating fuse format widely used in telecommunications power. GMT fuses give a clear visual indication when blown and are quick to replace, making them well suited to redundant DC circuit protection where uptime and fast service matter.
