    Can surge protection be added to an LCP panel?

    Yes, LCP panels can be specified with optional, factory-installed surge protection modules. We offer integrated SurgeX or SPD modules that fit directly into the panelboard enclosure.

    This provides a robust, coordinated protection solution for all connected lighting and video wall circuits, simplifying the electrical design and installation while safeguarding sensitive downstream equipment.

    Do your conditioners protect against sustained over-voltage events?

    Yes. In addition to clamping transient surges, many of our power protection units include an automatic over-voltage shutdown feature. If the incoming voltage exceeds a safe operating threshold for a sustained period, the unit will disconnect power from your equipment. This provides a critical layer of defense against damaging utility power faults or incorrect site wiring.

    Does the SQ Series provide surge protection?

    The primary function of the SQ Series is power sequencing. It is designed to protect equipment from damage caused by inrush current during startup and shutdown procedures.

    It does not include integrated surge protection. For applications that require protection from voltage surges and spikes, a separate Surge Protective Device (SPD) should be installed on the circuit feeding the SQ unit.
