    FAQ

    FAQs about the LCP System

Can I control the LCP without a lighting console?

Yes. Every LCP panel has a built-in web server for manual control from any browser. You can also use the internal scheduler with its astronomical clock for automated, time-based operation without an external controller.

Can I use LCP panels for emergency lighting?

Yes, LCP panels are ETL Listed to UL 924 standards, making them suitable for controlling emergency and egress lighting circuits in compliance with building codes.

How do I choose the right panel size for my project?

Panel selection depends on your total circuit count and main service amperage. LCP systems are available in sizes from 30 to 84 circuits with service ratings from 100A to 600A. A LynTec engineer can help you specify the correct configuration.

How does the LCP system integrate with lighting consoles?

The LCP system supports DMX and sACN protocols natively. You can connect your lighting console directly to the panel’s network interface to control individual circuits or zones, just like any other lighting fixture.

What is the difference between LCP and LCS panels?

LCP panels are the primary controllers containing the system’s intelligence, including the web server and protocol interfaces. LCS panels are secondary, cost-effective expansion units that provide additional circuits and must be controlled by a primary LCP panel.
