    RT-REL Dry Contact Relay Trigger

Accessory that converts a 120V AC signal into a dry contact closure for automation.

The RT-REL is a compact interface accessory that translates a 120V AC signal from any switched outlet into a dry contact closure. It allows integrators to extend the control of a power sequencer or amplifier to trigger other devices without running new control wiring.

Simple and reliable remote power control activated by low-voltage contact closure. Engineered for non-networked applications requiring dependable, straightforward power sequencing.

    Simple Integration, Reliable Control

    Function

    AC to Relay Trigger

    Input

    120V AC

    Output

    Dry Contact
    CONTROL ACCESSORY

Extend switched outlet control with a simple relay.

The RT-REL is a straightforward problem solver for system integration. It provides a dry contact closure (normally open or normally closed) that is triggered by the presence of 120V AC power. Simply plug the RT-REL’s power cord into a switched outlet on a power sequencer, PDU, or amplifier. When that outlet is energized, the RT-REL activates its internal relay, providing a clean contact closure on its three-position terminal strip to control third-party equipment.

This simple utility device makes it easy to create control logic between power and automation systems, such as triggering a projector screen to lower when an amplifier is powered on, without requiring complex programming or dedicated control wiring runs.

    FAQ

    FAQs about the RT-REL

Can I use the RT-REL with non-LynTec equipment?

Yes. The RT-REL is designed to work with any standard 120V AC switched outlet, regardless of the manufacturer of the power distribution unit, sequencer, or amplifier.

Does the RT-REL need its own separate power supply?

No, the RT-REL is powered by the 120V AC signal from the switched outlet it is plugged into. It does not require any additional power source to operate its internal relay.

How do I wire the output terminals?

The three-position terminal strip includes Common (C), Normally Open (NO), and Normally Closed (NC). For a ‘trigger on’ action, wire to C and NO. For a ‘trigger off’ action, wire to C and NC. Refer to the product manual for a detailed diagram.

What is the primary use for the RT-REL?

The RT-REL is used to create a dry contact closure from a switched 120V AC power source. This allows you to use a switched outlet on a power sequencer or amplifier to trigger another device that requires a contact closure for control.

What kind of devices can I control with the RT-REL?

You can control any device that accepts a dry contact closure input for automation. Common examples include projector screens, motorized lifts, drapes, contactor coils, or inputs on a larger control system.
