Can the USB ports charge an iPad or other tablet?

Yes, the 5V DC USB ports on the front and rear of the unit can be used to charge accessories, including iPhones and iPads, or to power USB utility lights.

How do I know if the surge protection needs to be replaced?

A status indicator LED on the front panel confirms the surge protection is active. If this light goes out, the MOV protection module has been compromised and can be easily replaced.

The primary difference is the amperage capacity. The RP 100-20A is rated for 20 amps and uses a NEMA 5-20P plug, while the 15A model is rated for 15 amps and uses a standard NEMA 5-15P plug.

What type of wall outlet does the RP 100-20A require?

The RP 100-20A is a 20-amp unit and requires a NEMA 5-20R receptacle for connection to utility power. It will not fit in a standard 15-amp NEMA 5-15R outlet.
