Simplified, reliable power sequencing for any venue.
The LynTec MSP Series simplifies power sequencing for complex AVL systems by integrating control and distribution into a single, robust panelboard. Built on the proven reliability of Square D motorized breakers, the MSP provides sequential turn-on and reverse-sequence-off with a selectable step rate, all managed through simple contact closure inputs. This one-touch system control eliminates the need for complex programming or on-site commissioning, reducing installation time and labor costs for integrators.
Engineered for long-term performance, the MSP runs cool and efficiently with no holding current required to maintain its state. Standard features include automatic load shedding for emergency shutdown and brownout protection to safeguard connected processors and sensitive electronics. With options for isolated technical grounding, bolt-on breakers, and in-panel SurgeX surge elimination, the MSP system can be configured to meet the specific protection and power quality needs of any performance venue.

MSP panels are available in several configurations based on the main electrical service rating.
- MSP 139 and 338 Series: Designed for installations with main breakers rated less than 100A.
- MSP 141 and 341 Series: Configured for larger installations with main breakers rated greater than 100A.
The system supports multiple breaker types to match your circuit requirements.
- Pole Count: Accommodates one, two, or three-pole motorized breakers for flexible circuit control.
- Mounting Style: Available with traditional plug-on breakers or optional bolt-on breakers for enhanced connection security.
The MSP system is designed for simple, reliable external control integration.
- Inputs (Standard): Dry contact closure inputs provide the primary method for triggering on and off sequences.
- Outputs (Optional): Contact closure outputs can be added to any panel to provide status feedback to third-party control systems.
Enhance your panel with integrated modules for power quality and specialized grounding.
- SurgeX Surge Elimination: Optional in-panel modules provide industrial-grade protection against damaging power surges and transients.
- Isolated Technical Ground: An available dedicated cabinet provides an isolated ground to reduce electrical noise for sensitive audio and video systems.
- IPC Integrated Power Center: Combines an isolation transformer and breaker panel into a single floor-standing unit for maximum power quality and density.

FAQs about the MSP Series
Yes, the MSP series offers an optional dedicated cabinet for isolated technical grounding. This helps reduce electrical noise for sensitive audio, video, and recording equipment.
No, the MSP system is designed for simple setup and does not require any on-site commissioning or specialized programming, which helps reduce installation time and costs.
Model selection is primarily based on the main breaker amperage of your electrical service. Panels are available for services both under and over 100A. Contact a LynTec engineer to spec the correct configuration.
The MSP system is controlled via standard dry contact closure inputs. This allows for simple one-touch control from third-party systems like key switches, automation systems, or emergency overrides without complex programming.
We never thought of it as a ZipOn, but we can accomplish that function. The MS series modular sequencer flexibility makes this fast turn-on function possible. The MS series STEP RATE may be set at 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or 1 second. 80 circuits would require two MSP or MSLC 341-48 cabinets. Each cabinet holds up to 41 motorized breakers. Each cabinet has 4 daisy-chained, 6 step sequencer boards. Each step controls two motorized breakers, so we have 24 steps per cabinet. By installing both the 1/4 and 1/2 second STEP RATE jumpers we can set the step rate to 1/8 second. Each of the two cabinets with 24 steps, will take 3 seconds to turn on. (24 steps x 1/8 sec. = 3 sec.)
By using only 6 of the 15-second design target, there will still be some time that may be used for front end settling by setting the delay between steps 1 and 2 of the first board to 4 or even 8 seconds. A variation would be to turn on each step at 1/4 second with a settling time delay of 2 seconds for a total turn-on time of 14 seconds. (48 steps x 1/4 =12 sec. + 2 sec. settling time = 14 sec.)
For larger systems, we can turn on up to 5 sequencing systems in parallel to keep the turn-on time to a minimum. For instance: A stadium has a small MSLC panel in the control room with 24 circuits. With a 4 second settling time delay it requires 5.5 seconds to turn on. (12 steps x 1/8 sec = 1.5 sec + 4 sec. settling time = 5.5 sec.) By series-parallel connecting the daisy chain connections to five MSLC/MSP 341-48 panels we can turn on a 229 circuit system in 8.5 seconds. (Front end MSLC = 5.5 sec. + five parallel connected MSLC or MSP 341-48s, each requiring 3 sec. = 8.5 sec. total turn-on time)
The MSP series is built exclusively on the reliable, time-proven Square D motorized circuit breaker platform, ensuring long-term performance in demanding environments.
Every MSP panel includes standard brownout (under-voltage) protection and automatic load shedding for emergency shutdown. Optional SurgeX in-panel modules can be added for industrial-grade surge elimination.
