Yes. The dedicated RJ45 input and output ports are designed for daisy-chaining. You can link any number of CQ Series devices together to create a synchronized power-up and power-down sequence across your entire system.
No, the CQ 50 and the entire CQ Series are designed for standalone operation. A sequence can be initiated from any unit in a daisy-chain or from a simple, third-party contact closure, eliminating the need for a separate primary controller.
The CQ 50 can be triggered in two ways. You can daisy-chain it from another CQ Series sequencer using the RJ45 ports, or you can use a simple latching contact closure device, such as a key switch or a relay connected to the input port.
The unswitched outlet provides constant power that is not part of the sequence. It’s a convenience outlet perfect for devices that need to remain on at all times, such as small network switches or utility lighting.
The CQ 50 is ideal for any non-racked AV equipment that requires sequenced power. Common applications include powering on projectors, video displays, powered speakers, and other distributed hardware that needs to be controlled from a central point.
